School Prayer Initiative

Temple ISD

Since 2005 several churches have adopted a school and are allowed to send a prayer team into the school to pray once a week when school is in session. The pastor or prayer leader from a church contacts the principal to arrange for the location for prayer in the building and the preferred time of day on the school schedule. This is a quiet ministry of presence and prayer for the school and there is no intention of approaching students or staff. Is your church involved? Praying for the schools is making a difference.  This is an opportunity to act boldly in faith to be an intercessor in one of our schools. To adopt a school, contact Pat Dalrymple 742-1029 or

Pat Dalrymple Honored At Pastor's Prayer Breakfast

Pat Dalrymple, founder and long-time coordinator of the Central Texas Prayer Network, was honored at a special Pastor's Breakfast at Christian Life Church in Belton April 4, 2012.  Below are her remarks delivered to the group.  (Read Pat's farewell newsletter by scrolling down this page.)
Dear Friends in Christ, we are blessed to gather here today as the Body of Christ.  Thanks to Christian Life Church for their hospitality in bringing us together. This gathering is an answer to prayer for unity in Jesus prayer for the disciples in John 17:20-24.  Please hear it as his disciples today.

“I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one.  As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.  Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.”

Since 1999, the Central Texas Prayer Network has prayed for Unity in the Body of Christ in Central Texas.  We have visible evidence today that this prayer is being answered. A faithful remnant of intercessors has prayed weekly, so let us REJOICE AND BE GLAD.

In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians: “in Christ God reconciled us to himself through Christ so we are ambassadors for Christ; ambassadors of reconciliation!  May we do the same!  (2 Cor. 5: 17-21)

Now hear it as his disciples today.

“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation: that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.  So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Our prayers go where we cannot.  In this Easter season of HOPE, may God Hear Our Prayers Everywhere.  Let us be committed to praying that National Day of Prayer and the Global Day of Prayer will be blessed in our Central Texas area and beyond.  TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

In closing, I use Paul’s words as my own:

Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell.  Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.  AMEN.         Pat’s message @ pastor’s breakfast 4-14-12

A Message From Pat
Spring 2012
Greetings to all in Jesus' name!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

After 13 years, as coordinator of the Central Texas Prayer Network, and living in Temple for 17 years, it is difficult to say good bye as I relocate to Auburn, AL on May the 22nd to live closer to my family.

I stand in awe of the way I was honored on April 14 at the Christian Life Church and hearing Mayor Bill Jones proclaim that day, as ‘Pat Dalrymple Day’ in the City of Temple. I am humbled by the kind words and recognition by so many.

The LORD is giving me assurance and peace that not only has the revival started in Central TX, the flames of the HOLY SPIRIT were fanned in those who gathered on April 14. What God has ordained he will sustain!  Global Day of Prayer on May 27 will fan the flames even more!

John Carrette, asked the gathering to pledge the words of scripture that will bring it to pass!!  Please read my message that follows and pledge the closing words as the gathering spoke in unity on Saturday, April 14.

Leadership of the CTPN will continue with co-coordinators Ruth Daniel and Wayne Elkins.  Please support and pray for them as you have for me.

To God be the Glory, great things he has done!  And there will be greater things in the future.  John 14:12

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  (Romans 15:13)

Prayerfully yours,

Pat Dalrymple

Dr. David Jeremiah – NDP Honorary Chairman

Heavenly Father,

Every good gift and perfect gift comes from You. You are a faithful God and Your mercy endures forever.

You have promised to bless the nation that trusts in You.  Our currency proclaims “In God We Trust,” but in our culture we are far from You.

In the words of the prophet Daniel, “We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.”

We come before You once more, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy.  You, O God, are our only hope… Hear our prayer and, for Your honor’s sake, shine Your face upon this nation.

Give our leaders the desire to seek Your wisdom and the courage to follow Your guidance… and watch over the men and women of our armed forces as they sacrifice for the cause of freedom.

We give You thanks for all You have done for us, and we earnestly pray that You will help us become, once again, a nation whose God is the Lord.

In the name of Your Son, and our Savior, we pray this prayer.
